Arthurdale Water Association was originally established as an association of members and a non-profit corporation. As such, the process for an increase in monthly rates begins with the constitution and bylaws of the Arthurdale Water Company, as reads below:

"The membership shall be responsible for determining the monthly rate based on the current cost of operating the water company and to provide a surplus for general maintenance and major repairs or replacements. The active members at any regular or special meeting may choose to increase or decrease the monthly rates."

An analysis of a utility requesting a rate change, and an issuance of approval is then required by the WV Public Service Commission before a new tariff structure can be implemented.

Standard Flat Rates - tariff enacted December 5'th, 2022

Residential rates  $26.17 per month

Commercial rates $26.17 per unit per month

Commercial - Hotel rates $37.11 per month

Exceptions apply to negotiated contracts

Tap Fee - $250.00

The following charges are to be made whenever the utility installs a new tap to serve an applicant.

Reconnection - $20.00

To be charged before reconnection whenever the supply of water is turned off for violations of rules, nonpayment of bills or fraudulent use of water.

Returned check charge - $25.00

Payments

Billing postcards are mailed to customers on a monthly basis. Payment is due upon receipt of invoice. 

Accounts will be considered delinquent if payment is not received within 30 days.
