The Genesee Township Water authority meets at 7:00 PM the first Tuesday of each month at the Genesee Township Municipal Building.
WATER RATES AND BILLING
The Genesee Township Water Authority system is not metered and charges a flat rate of24.00 per month for unlimited service. Water bills may be paid by mail at P.O. Box 3 Genesee, PA 16923 or by drop off at Reed’s Market.
NEW CONNECTIONS
A tap fee of $250.00 will be charged to cover the costs of tapping the water line and installation of a curb box. It is the customer’s responsibility to make the connection from the curb box to the dwelling unit. Materials for the connection may be purchased from the Authority at cost.
INTERRUPTIONS IN SERVICE
Occasionally it is necessary to interrupt service for maintenance, repairs, etc. We will make every effort to notify you in advance of any scheduled interruptions to your service. Should an emergency arise that would require your service to be interrupted without notification, the crew will be working diligently to restore service as quickly as possible. If the quality of your water is affected, you will be notified of the proper safety procedures.
PUBLIC NOTIFICATIONS
In the event of a situation that may make the water unsafe, public notification will be advertised on the radio, posted publicly in the community and posted here. You will receive information regarding the nature of the problem, instructions for protecting yourself if necessary and what is being done to correct the problem.
CONSUMER CONFIDENCE REPORT
All community water suppliers are required to provide its customers with an annual report on the quality of drinking water being delivered. You may access the report here. If you have any questions regarding the report, please contact Donald Reed or Dale Steadman at the numbers listed above.
