During rain events BTMA is experiencing high levels of I&I entering the system. Much of this infiltration is rain/ground water flowing into standpipes that are missing caps, or have worked their way up out of the underground gaskets that are supposed to hold them in place. This movement occurs from the freezing and thawing that occurs during the winter months. We are asking our customers to inspect their pipes for missing caps and to report any that are missing by calling our office and we will replace them. Additionally, we are requesting that a couple times a year customers push down their standpipes by either stepping on them if they are near ground level or by other means if they are higher so that they reseat back into the underground gasket. We greatly appreciate your attention to this matter!!
The Bedford Township Municipal Authority will hold its regular monthly meetings at the Township Building @ 4:00pm on the following first Wednesdays of the month in 2024:
